I have a wrt54gl v1.1 and installed the tomato firmware. I'm trying to the use "wireless client" mode and can't seem to get it working. I have a few things going on with the wireless network at my house (bought the wrt54gl to use at college so it's not the router hooked up to the cable modem).

I spent some time looking into "bridge mode" and "routing tables" before figuring out that the way to accomplish this is to configure the second router as an "access point". Tomato definitely doesn't have Wireless Repeater mode, and its WDS and Client Bridge modes don't support WPA2. I'll second that its bandwidth management capabilities are excellent, though - it has a very good QoS interface, with real-time throughput graphing added in the bargain.
